Recent Grants

When our donors give unrestricted gifts, they allow the Foundation's trustees to determine how their gifts can best serve the community from year to year as needs and programs change. The earnings from these gifts are distributed through our Discretionary Grants Program. This program allowed us to award more than $6,000 during our most recent grant cycle: 

United Way of Pike County
$1,300 to sponsor the 2008 Day of Caring.

Petersburg Police Department
$750 to purchase lifesaving water rescue equipment.

Petersburg Ministerial Association
$2,000 to help fund the Clothe-a-Child program. 


Precious Rewards
$1,000 to purchase merchandise to stock their "store".

Generations
$500 to help fund the "preparing for an Aging Community" project.

Jefferson Township (Otwell) Community Center
$5,675 to help fund the library expansion project.

 

Junior Achievement of Southwestern Indiana
$1,000 to help fund the Pike County JA High School Expansion.

 

Girl Scouts of Raintree Council

$500 to help fund the Girl Scout Pike County Program Delivery and Outreach.

 

The town of Winslow

$1,000 to help construct a scenic overlook deck in the renovated Riverside Park.

 

The town of Winslow

$1,510 to construct walking trails on the wooded property behind the ball fields.

 

Tri-Cap

$918 to provide emergency family assistance to Pike County families in need.

 

Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra

$300 to help fund the 2007-2008 youth concerts in Pike County.
